Himachal Group Tour from Mumbai: 9 Nights 10 Days

Overview

Travel from Mumbai to the hills of Himachal Pradesh and on to the Golden City of Amritsar on a 9-night, 10-day group tour. The journey starts with an overnight train to Chandigarh, then a private vehicle takes the group through Shimla, Manali, Solang Valley, Kasol, Dharamshala and McLeodganj, and Amritsar, before the train brings everyone back to Mumbai. Stays are in 3-star hotels, plus a night in Swiss-tent camps at Manali with a bonfire and DJ night. Breakfast and dinner are included as shown in the itinerary, river rafting at Kasol is included, and a Travel Manager stays with the group throughout. Train travel is Non-AC Sleeper.

Day-wise itinerary

1. Day 1

   Mumbai to Chandigarh

   Reach the railway station 2 hours before departure, where our representative welcomes you. Meet your fellow travellers and board the train for the overnight journey to Chandigarh.

2. Day 2

   Chandigarh to Shimla

   On arrival at Chandigarh railway station, a private vehicle takes you to Shimla. Reach Shimla by evening, check in to the hotel and enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers.

3. Day 3

   Shimla sightseeing, then to Manali

   After breakfast, visit the hill station of Kufri and explore Shimla, including Christ Church and Mall Road. Later, leave for the overnight journey to Manali.

4. Day 4

   Arrive in Manali and local sightseeing

   Reach Manali in the morning and check in to the hotel (check-in time is 12:00 pm; early check-in is subject to availability). Explore Manali today: Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Hot Springs, the Tibetan Monastery, Mall Road and Ibex Market.

5. Day 5

   Solang Valley and camp stay

   Drive to Solang Valley, known for its scenic beauty. Snow activities are available here, such as paragliding, snow scooter, amateur skiing and zorbing (activities at own cost). Then head to the camp for the night, with a bonfire and DJ night in the evening.

6. Day 6

   Kullu to Kasol to Dharamshala

   After an early breakfast, proceed to Kasol. Here you can try paragliding (at own cost) and go river rafting, which is included. Visit Manikaran Gurudwara and its hot water spring, the Parvati River and Kasol Market. In the evening, begin the overnight journey towards Dharamshala.

7. Day 7

   Arrive in Dharamshala and McLeodganj sightseeing

   Arrive in Dharamshala in the morning, check in to the hotel, freshen up and relax (check-in time is 12:00 pm; early check-in is subject to availability). In the afternoon, see McLeodganj, including Sunset Point and the Dalai Lama Temple, and visit the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium.

8. Day 8

   Dharamshala to Amritsar

   After breakfast, start the journey to Amritsar. On arrival, visit the Wagah Border in the afternoon, then check in to the hotel and relax.

9. Day 9

   Amritsar to Mumbai

   Visit the Golden Temple early in the morning. Later, explore Jallianwala Bagh and the Amritsar market. Check out of the hotel and, in the evening, go to Amritsar railway station to board the train for Mumbai.

10. Day 10

    Arrival in Mumbai

    Arrive in Mumbai with loads of memories. The tour concludes. Thank you for being part of this journey.

• Book at least 60 days before departure to improve the chances of confirmed train tickets. Ticket confirmation depends on availability and is governed only by Indian Railways, so we cannot control the confirmation status.
• Hotel check-in time is 12:00 pm. Early check-in is subject to availability.
• Hotels are as per the itinerary or similar. Camp stay is in Swiss tents.
• Things to carry: valid ID proof, warm clothes and a cap, trekking shoes, woollen socks and gloves, personal medication, cold cream and lip guard, sunglasses, and a camera with sufficient batteries.
• Activities at Solang Valley and Kasol (such as paragliding, snow scooter, skiing and zorbing) are at your own cost.
